Privacy Policy
Short version: This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts. The FocusFrame app itself has zero network activity and collects no data whatsoever.

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

For all data-protection enquiries, including requests to access, correct, or delete personal data, please contact the address above.
2. Data Collected When You Visit This Website
2.1 Server Log Files
When you visit focusframe.cloud, the web server automatically records standard technical information in server log files. This data is necessary to serve the website and is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a functional and secure website).
The following data may be stored temporarily:
- IP address of the requesting device (anonymised after processing)
- Date and time of the request
- URL of the requested page or file
- HTTP status code and bytes transferred
- Browser type and version (User-Agent string)
- Referrer URL (if your browser sends one)
Server logs are retained for a maximum of 14 days for security and troubleshooting purposes and are then automatically deleted. Log data is not merged with other data sources and is not used to identify individual users.
2.2 Cookies
This website sets no cookies — functional, analytical, or otherwise. No cookie consent banner is displayed because there is nothing to consent to.
2.3 Analytics and Tracking
This website uses no analytics tools, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, and no third-party scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no Hotjar, and no similar service. Your visit is not tracked or profiled.
2.4 File Download
When you download FocusFrame.dmg, your IP address and the timestamp of the download are recorded in the server log (see § 2.1). No account or registration is required.
3. External Links
This website contains links to external services. Once you click an external link, you leave focusframe.cloud and the respective site's own privacy policy applies:
- Buy Me a Coffee (buymeacoffee.com) — used for voluntary donations. Privacy policy: buymeacoffee.com/privacy-policy
We have no control over how external services process your data and accept no responsibility for their privacy practices.
4. The FocusFrame App
The FocusFrame macOS application has zero network activity. It never connects to the internet, sends no telemetry, collects no usage data, and stores no personal information anywhere outside your own device. The app only uses the macOS Accessibility API to read window positions on your local screen — this data never leaves your Mac.
5. Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — Legitimate interest: Server log files are processed to ensure the technical operation and security of the website.
No other legal bases apply because no other personal data is processed.
6. Your Rights Under GDPR
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — You may request information about what personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — You may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — You may request deletion of your personal data.
- Right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR) — You may request that we limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — You may request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — You may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR) — You may file a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Germany: Bundesbeauftragter für Datenschutz (BfDI).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in section 1. Since we retain only server logs (automatically deleted after 14 days and not linked to identities), most requests will result in a confirmation that no personal data is held.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the website's technical setup changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will not introduce third-party tracking without updating this policy and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.
